We distinguish between hard change triggered by the buy-up or sale of a company and restructurings or stock market launches and soft transformation, which are triggered by the introduction of newer business models or cultural re-orientations in the company

The ability to transform in the economy of the 21st century represents an indispensable competitive advantage. Long gone are the days when transformations were looked upon as one-of-a-kind events in a company. Today, transformation processes often run parallel and very often, the beginning and the end are not even discernible by those in the know.
